Profiteer هو شخص يحقق أرباحًا كبيرة بشكل غير عادل، خاصة باستغلال الأزمات أو حاجات الآخرين.

الكلمة غالبًا سلبية وتستخدم في الإعلام أو السياسة أو التعليقات الاجتماعية. تظهر بكثرة في عبارات مثل 'war profiteer' (مستغل الحروب). لا تُستخدم للتجار العاديين وإنما لمن يُنظر إليهم بأنهم غير أخلاقيين.
