Definition

指や手で物を軽く押したり、触れたりすること。主にスコットランドやカリブの話し言葉で使われます。

口語的で、特にスコットランドやカリブ英語で使われます。カリブのスラングでは「pree someone」はその人をじっと見るという意味にもなります。フォーマルな場面では使いません。

Can I pree the fruit to see if it's ripe?

その果物が熟しているか、**軽く押して**みてもいい？
