誰かや何かについて良いことを言い、その人や物を認めて評価すること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フォーマルや丁寧な場面でよく使われます。「praising someone for...」は「〜を褒める」の意味。「褒める」は感謝ではなく評価や称賛を伝えます。
