Definition

ضرب شيء مرارًا حتى يدخله في شيء آخر؛ وأيضًا يُستخدم مجازاً لتعني تكرار تعليم شيء حتى لا يُنسى.

تُستخدم حرفيًا (ضرب شيء ليدخل في آخر) أو مجازياً (تكرار التعليم بقوة). المعنى المجازي يوحي بالإلحاح الشديد وأحيانًا يُعتبر سلبيًا. تعبير عامّي في الحوار.
