ドア戸

Definition

部屋や建物、乗り物に出入りするために開けたり閉めたりできる仕切りです。

「open the door」「close the door」などで使われます。「behind closed doors」は内密に、という意味です。「ドア」は一般的な扉、「戸」は伝統的な和風の引き戸に使われます。

Please close the door when you leave.

出るときに**ドア**を閉めてください。

The cat is waiting by the door.

猫が**ドア**のそばで待っています。
