Definition

শুকরখোর বা কাঁটাবাঘ হল মাঝারি আকারের স্তন্যপায়ী প্রাণী, যাদের পিঠে ধারালো কাঁটা থাকে যা তাদের শত্রুদের থেকে রক্ষা করে।

'শুকরখোর' বা 'কাঁটাবাঘ' কথাটি সাধারণ বা বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'হেজহগ' (hedgehog) এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না, দুটি ভিন্ন প্রাণী। 'as prickly as a porcupine' বলতে রুক্ষ বা খিটখিটে স্বভাব বোঝায়।
