指非法捕獵動物，或指在熱水中輕輕煮食物，尤其是蛋或魚。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
可指非法捕獵動物，也可指低溫水煮，如'poach an egg'（水煮蛋）。在商業場合亦可指“挖角”員工。煮食時水應未完全沸騰。
