本気ではなく、何かをしているふりをしたり、誰かになりきって遊ぶこと。「〜ごっこ」やまねごとをする時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

否定的なニュアンスがあり、真剣ではない時に使います。『play at being 〜』は『〜ごっこをする』で表現します。本当の遊びや演奏には使いません。
