Definition
複数の色の縦横の線が交差する模様、またはその模様の布や服のこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にシャツやスカート、マフラーなどの布に使います。描いた模様ではなく、織られた布地を指します。「チェック柄」とも言いますが、線や色がより複雑です。英英では「tartan」と呼ばれることも。
