ピンの頭まぬけ（侮辱的）

Definition

文字通りはピンの小さな丸い頭。口語では、頭の悪い人や愚かな人を侮辱的に呼ぶ表現。

手芸以外では文字通りの意味ではあまり使われません。侮辱として使う場合、アメリカ英語でよく使われます。「忘れっぽい」ではなく「頭が悪い」という意味になります。

He collects pinheads for his needlework.
