フォトスタットは、現代のコピー機が普及する前に特殊な機械で作られていた書類の写真コピーです。

「フォトスタット」は現在ではほとんど使われない歴史的な用語で、書類保存や法律関連でだけ見かけます。今のコピーは「フォトスタット」とは呼びません。
