ময়ূরী হচ্ছে ময়ূরের স্ত্রী পাখি, সাধারণত বাদামী বা ছাই রঙের হয় এবং পুরুষ ময়ূরের মতো রঙিন নয়।

‘ময়ূরী’ শব্দটি সাধারণত বই বা বৈজ্ঞানিক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। দৈনন্দিন কথায় ‘ময়ূর’ বললেও সেটি সাধারণত পুরুষ বোঝানো হয়। ‘peahen’ শুধুমাত্র স্ত্রী পাখির জন্য।
