クジャクは大きくて鮮やかな羽を持つ鳥で、特にオスの美しい尾羽が有名です。公園や庭園、動物園などでよく見られます。

「クジャク」は本来オスを指しますが、普段はオス・メス両方に使われます。オスの尾羽が特に美しいですが、メスは地味です。単数形は「クジャク」です。
