자신이나 어떤 것을 다른 사람이나 물건인 것처럼 속이려는 행동.

'pass off as'는 속임수나 사기 상황에서 비공식적으로 사용됨. 'pass [someone/something] off as [another]' 형태로 자주 쓰임. 'pass by'나 'pass out'과 혼동하지 마세요. 부정적 의미가 강함.
