주 건물 옆에 따로 떨어져 있는 창고, 차고, 작업장 등으로 쓰이는 건축물입니다.

대부분 복수 형태로 쓰입니다. 창고, 헛간, 차고, 작업장 등 다양한 용도로 쓰이는 시골이나 교외의 별채를 가리킵니다. '익스텐션'이나 '별관'과 다릅니다.
