Definition

কিছু যদি তার আকার, গুরুত্ব বা প্রতিক্রিয়া বাস্তব পরিস্থিতির তুলনায় অনেক বেশি বা কম হয়, তাহলে তাকে 'অতিরঞ্জিত' বা 'অনুপাতে নয়' বলে বোঝানো হয়।

সাধারণত 'blown out of proportion' কথাটি ব্যবহার করা হয় কোনো বিষয় অতিরঞ্জিত হলে। প্রতিক্রিয়া বা অনুভূতি বাস্তবতার তুলনায় বাড়াবাড়ি হলে এই কথাটি বলা হয়।
