「移動中」や「旅の途中」は、車などの乗り物で移動している時や、仕事や他の理由で家を離れている時に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に乗り物での移動や、長期の出張・ツアーの際に使います。「on foot」など徒歩の移動時には使いません。例文のままの表現が多いです。
