Definition

オーガは昔話や神話によく登場する、大きくて恐ろしい空想上の怪物です。たいていは醜くて意地悪な存在として描かれ、人間を傷つけたり食べたりすることがあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に昔話やファンタジーの中で使われます。「人に対して“オーガのようだ”」とたとえで使う場合もあります。「シュレック」などでは親しみやすい存在として描かれることもあります。
