Definition

ある数を別の数だけ繰り返し加算して、合計を求める算数の操作です。つまり、二つの数を掛け算して積を求めます。

主に数学や科学の文脈で使われます。「multiply by 3」のように数字・変数と一緒に使います。日常会話ではほとんど使いません。
