Fixar ou prender algo em uma superfície ou objeto, de forma que fique preso no lugar.

Normalmente usado para objetos ou equipamentos ('mount the TV on the wall'). Mais formal do que 'colocar'. Não usado para montar cavalos ou bicicletas ('montar', com outro sentido).
