Definition

天井やドア、壁、家具などの縁に使われる、木やプラスチックなどでできた装飾的な細長い部材です。工業製品で型に入れて作る成形品を指す場合もあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

建築やインテリア、家具作りでよく使います。「クラウンモールディング」「ベースボードモールディング」など。アメリカ英語では 'molding' と書く場合が多いです。
