"monseigneur" in Japanese

カトリック教会の高位聖職者（例えば司教）に対して使われる、フランス語の敬称や称号。歴史的には貴族への敬意表現でもある。

非常に格式ばった表現で、日本語では特別な場合やカトリック関連の文脈でカタカナで使うことが多い。直接呼びかけや名前の前につける形で用いられる。
