Definition

トラブルや目立たないように、その場から静かに立ち去ること。自分をあまり目立たなくする意味もある。

「make yourself scarce」はやや古風でユーモアを含む言い方で、人について使う。物には使わない。「こっそりいなくなる」と同じような意味。
