Moveu-se de forma repentina e rápida para a frente, normalmente para atacar, agarrar ou alcançar algo. Usado para um movimento físico forte e rápido.

Costuma referir-se a um movimento brusco e rápido para a frente. Muito utilizado em desportos, defesa pessoal, ou descrevendo animais. Geralmente junto de 'at' ou 'toward' ('lunged at him'). Não confundir com 'lounge' (relaxar).
