편하게 또는 무기력하게 누워 있거나 늘어진 자세를 의미합니다. 혀나 귀 등 신체 일부가 축 늘어진 상태를 나타낼 때도 씁니다.

동물이나 사람이 힘없이 누워 있거나 한 부분이 늘어진 모습을 말할 때 주로 씁니다. 'lolling tongue'은 혀를 축 늘어뜨린 상태입니다.
