Colocar pessoas ou coisas em fila ou ordem. Também pode significar organizar pessoas ou eventos numa determinada sequência.

'Line up' é informal e usado no inglês cotidiano. Serve para formar fila ('line up for tickets'), alinhar objetos ('line up the chairs') e para organizar eventos ('line up speakers'). Em inglês britânico, normalmente usa-se 'queue' para fila.
