Definition

透露或表露某事，尤其是秘密，或是假装、给别人某种印象。

'Let on' 是非正式用语，常用于某人不想透露实情时。常出现在否定句（'not let on'），或后跟 that 从句。不要与 'let in'（让进）或 'let out'（放出）混淆。

He didn't let on about the surprise party.
