"learn about" in Japanese

について知る

Definition

ある人や物事について、初めて情報や知識を得ること。他の人から聞いたり、自分で調べたりして知ること。

新しい知識や情報を得るときに使います。スキル習得（'learn to swim'など）には使いません。「〜について知る」は名詞や代名詞と組み合わせます（'learn about history'など）。

I want to learn about animals.
