糸を針で絡めて布や物を作ること、または何かをしっかりと結びつけること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「knits」は主にマフラーやセーターなどを編むときに使い、「knits the group together」のように、何かを固く結びつける意味もある。「sew」とは違い、縫い合わせるわけではないので注意。
