誰かや何かを外に出さず中に留めておく、または自分の感情や考えを表に出さず抑えること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'keep in'は「誰かを中に入れておく」（例：学校に残す）や「感情を抑える」両方の意味で使われます。感情に対しては会話で『hold in』もよく使います。
