口譯員是即時把一種語言的口語翻譯成另一種語言的人,常見於會談、會議或活動中。

“口譯員”專指口頭翻譯,“翻譯員”多指筆譯。“Interpreters”常在會議、法院、醫院或電話等場景出現。不要與電腦術語的“解譯器”混淆。指兩人以上時要用複數,例如「兩位口譯員」。
