Tener aún posibilidades de ganar, ser elegido o tener éxito en una competencia o proceso.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho en deportes, negocios y elecciones. No implica literalmente correr. Es común escuchar 'still in the running' (aún con posibilidades) o 'out of the running' (ya sin posibilidades). No confundir con 'en la carrera' solo en sentido físico.
