準備なしでその場で創造したり行動したりすること。音楽や演劇、問題解決などでよく使われる言葉です。

主に音楽や演劇、コメディで使われますが、日常の問題解決でも使われます。「improvisation」はフォーマルで、カジュアルには「インプロ」なども使います。「improvisation skills」「a piece of improvisation」は定型表現です。
