किसी तरल में पूरी तरह डूबा हुआ होना, या किसी गतिविधि, विचार या माहौल में पूरी तरह लीन होना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर रूपक रूप में इस्तेमाल होता है: 'immersed in work' (काम में डूबा), 'immersed in thought' (सोच में खोया)। थोड़ा औपचारिक शब्द। 'submerged' से न उलझाएं, वह अधिकतर असल में पानी के नीचे इस्तेमाल होता है।
