상대방을 기쁘게 하거나 갈등을 피하기 위해 그 사람의 뜻에 맞춰주는 것.

격식 있는 표현으로 자주 쓰이지 않음. '상대방의 요구에 맞춰준다', '무언가 불편해도 상대를 위해 참는다'는 뉘앙스가 있음. 'humored his request'처럼 요청에 응해주는 상황에서 사용.

She humored her little brother by playing his favorite game.
