एक महिला जो हॉस्टल, बोर्डिंग हाउस या इसी तरह की आवास व्यवस्था में छात्रों की देखभाल और निगरानी करती है, जैसे घर से दूर माँ।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Housemother' शब्द आमतौर पर हॉस्टल या संस्थागत छात्रावास में इस्तेमाल होता है और केवल महिला के लिए ही है। पुरुष के लिए 'housefather' या 'houseparent' शब्द होता है। यह पारिवारिक घरों के लिए नहीं है।
