家族やカップルではないが、同じ家に住む人たち。キッチンやリビング、バスルームなどを一緒に使うことが多い。

「ハウスメイト」は主に賃貸住宅で同じ家をシェアする人。『ルームメイト』は同じ部屋を使う場合に使う。
