あるものが磨かれているとは、技術や能力が高められた場合や、包丁などが鋭くされたことを指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にスキルや能力について使われることが多いですが、道具や刃物にも使います。「well-honed」「finely honed」のような表現が一般的です。「owned」や「honed in on」と間違えないようにしましょう。
