物や体の一部が、たいてい不意に、何かにぶつかったり当たったりすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話でよく使われる。『hit my head against the wall』は「頭を壁にぶつける」のように、偶然起こる接触に使う。故意のパンチには使わない。
