hip 指身体上部腿根两侧、与腰部相连的部位，也可以指这个部位的关节。

通常作身体部位名词使用，如 'my hip hurts'、'hip pain'、'hip replacement'。不要和形容词 'hip'（时髦的、前卫的）混淆，那个是另一个意思，而且现在这种用法有点过时。
