위험이나 문제를 피하거나 누군가를 피하고 싶을 때, 아무도 못 찾는 곳에 머무르는 것.

비공식적 표현이며 범죄, 영화, 장난 등에서 위험이나 문제를 피하려고 사용함. '어디에 숨다, 숨어 지내다'처럼 쓴다.

We decided to hide out at our friend’s cabin for the weekend.
