Definition

羊や牛、ヤギなどの家畜の群れの世話をしたり導いたりする仕事をする人。

主に田舎や伝統的な環境で家畜を管理する人に使います。'sheep herder'（羊飼い）、'cattle herder'（牛追い）などの組み合わせで用いられます。'shepherd'（通常は羊専門）、'cowboy'（主にアメリカの牛飼い）とは使い分けに注意。
