Definition

곶은 바다나 큰 호수로 뻗어 있는 높은 지형으로, 보통 경사가 급한 면을 가지고 있습니다.

주로 지리, 문학, 여행에서 사용됩니다. 작은 바위나 모래톱에는 쓰이지 않으며, 상대적으로 큰 육지의 돌출된 지형을 의미합니다. 'promontory'와 비슷하지만 돌출된 육지임을 더 강조합니다.
