物や人を他の人に渡すこと。多くの場合、公式に、または求められているために行う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「hand over」は公式にも日常にも使われ、責任や物を他人に渡す場面で用いる。'hand over to'は誰かに引き継ぐ際によく使う。「hand in」（提出する）とは異なる。
