急に強く吹く風や空気の動き。または、まれに感情やエネルギーが一気に高まること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に天候や自然現象に使われ、『a gust of wind』のように表現される。感情に使う場合は比喩的でやや文学的な響きがある。「微風」（そよ風）とは区別する。
