何かが良い状態から悪くなること。食べ物が酸っぱくなったり、関係や状況が悪化したときに使う表現。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

食べ物（特に牛乳など）が酸っぱくなる場合と、関係や計画がうまくいかなくなるときに使います。何でも悪くなる場合には使いません。

Examples

The milk will go sour if you leave it out of the fridge.
