'Gazed' 'look' या 'stare' से अधिक कवि‍त्‍‍वपूर्ण/औपचारिक होता है। इसका उपयोग तब किया जाता है जब कोई भावनाओं (जैसे प्रेम, प्रशंसा) के साथ देख रहा हो, ना कि सामान्य देखने के लिए। आमतौर पर 'gazed at the stars' जैसे वाक्य में मिलता है।
