門ゲート (空港など)

Definition

門は庭や家などの入口にある開閉できる仕切りです。空港では、搭乗口の意味でも使われます。

家や庭では『門』は『ドア』より小さく、塀の一部として使われます。空港では『ゲート』や『搭乗ゲート』と言います。『open the gate』『close the gate』『at the gate』などの表現がよく使われます。

Please close the gate after you come in.

入った後は**門**を閉めてください。

The dog is waiting by the gate.
