'خطة لعب' تعني إستراتيجية أو خطة مفصلة لتحقيق هدف، وتستخدم غالباً في الرياضة ولكن أيضاً في الأعمال أو الحياة الشخصية.

'Game plan' يُستخدم غالباً في الرياضة لكنه شائع أيضاً في الأعمال أو الحياة اليومية. يشير إلى إستراتيجية مدروسة وليس مجرد فكرة بسيطة. من الشائع قول: 'What’s the game plan?' أو 'change the game plan'. لا تخلطه مع 'schedule' أو 'agenda' التي تعني فقط جدول المواعيد.
