'Gambles' 'gamble' का तीसरा पुरुष एकवचन रूप है: पैसे या कीमती चीज को किस्मत के खेल में दांव पर लगाना, या अच्छा नतीजा पाने की उम्मीद में जोखिम लेना।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह शब्द जुए (कैसीनो, सट्टा) और रोज़मर्रा के जोखिम दोनों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। 'he gambles at cards', 'she gambles with her future' जैसे वाक्य आम हैं। केवल कौशल वाले खेलों के लिए नहीं। 'Bet' आमतौर पर विशेष दांव के लिए है।
